Participants will receive industry exposure as well as the opportunity to experience Petfood Forum\u2019s many industry-focused benefits, including networking, educational sessions and a chance to walk the trade show halls.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the presentations are part of a competition, where a panel of judges will determine the top presenters (with a total of $1500 in monetary prizes on the line).<\/p>\n<p>Please submit only if you believe you\u2019ll be able to attend the show in person in 2024.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What to submit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Potential student speakers are invited to submit academic research abstracts on topics including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New research on companion animal nutrition;<\/li>\n<li>Novel ingredients and their potential applications in pet food or treat formulations;<\/li>\n<li>New information, techniques or processes for product development in pet food;<\/li>\n<li>New research, technology or processes for pet food production;<\/li>\n<li>New research, technology or other information on pet food packaging;<\/li>\n<li>New, specific information on one focused aspect of pet food safety (no general overviews of regulations or pet food safety programs)<\/li>\n<li>Reviews or compilations of the above topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Relevance of topic and the presence of new or innovative information, concepts or research are key to a positive evaluation. It is crucial that the paper\/presentation does not come across as a sales pitch, seeking to promote a specific organization or product(s). No abstract will be considered if it seems commercial. <strong>Previously published or presented research IS acceptable. <\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to submit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Please visit the Petfood Forum Student Program <a href=\"https:\/\/wattglobalmedia.swoogo.com\/PFF24-Students\/call-for-papers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abstract submissions site<\/a> and follow the instructions to create a new account. Complete the submissions forms using the guidelines on the log-in page and on the forms themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts must be received no later than February 1. After this deadline, the abstract submission system will no longer accept submissions.
